The Core Mindset Shifts that Have Changed Everything for Me

Today I’m sharing with you the core mindset shifts that have changed everything for me, but before i get into that i just want to prewarn you, my daughter Olivia is sitting next to me playing so if you hear her or any noises thats what that is – she is in pretty much all of my content because I’d never get any content out and also would never get anything done if i waited til nap time to do everything. She is a big part of my life and my brand and is with me pretty much 24/7.

Now, I talk a lot about how mindset work has done so much for me, so I wanted to give you the opportunity to make some mindset shifts for yourself to improve your life and just your overall experience in the day to day. and here are just a few mindset shifts that could totally change things for you.

ONE

Everything is actually way simpler than we think or make it out to be.
Our brains LOVE to overcomplicate everything to keep you safe and to keep you from taking the necessary actions you need to take. Your brain will literally talk you out of EVERYTHING if you allow it to.

TWO

Getting out of a victim mindset where i would blame my current circumstances or lack there of on others, the economy, the government, or basically anything outside of myself, etc. When in reality, i needed to take 100% full responsibility for where I was in life, how I was feeling and shift my mindset so that I would stop blaming and start taking charge of my life and choosing to change my future.

THREE
Shifting from a LIMITED mindset that says I can’t to HOW CAN I?
This activates the reticular activating system – what you choose to focus on, expands and you get more of.
Our brain is like a computer – continuously ask it empowering questions that you want answers to and it will find them for you and continue to bring them to your attention.
FOUR
This is a very popular mindset shift or should i say commonly talked about in the world of personal development.
Having a growth mindset instead of a fixed mindset.
Your skills, characteristics, mindset, etc. are NOT predetermined. they can change!
FIVE
I don’t fail, I learn.
I love the example from Spanx founder Sara Blakely.
SIX
I get to vs I have to (changing my mindset around a lot of the things others say are hard in motherhood) not discounting those things or saying they aren’t hard, but you can definitely change your mindset or your approach to it and i realized this very early on when i had liv. I also cannot believe she is actually going to be 9 months tomorrow!
SEVEN
Accepting what is and leaning into patience – I did this when I was pregnant especially near the end.
Accepting what is, being grateful for your current circumstances but also being open to more.
EIGHT
Definitely my FAVORITE mindset shift ever: Everything is figuroutable!
I learned this one from Marie Forleo forever ago back in like 2016.
NINE
Whatever we tell ourselves to be true is the place we operate from.
TEN
How you think is everything!
ELEVEN
Learning to lean into empathy and seeing others with a different perspective than I used to see them with (judgment, selfishness etc.)
