This year I wanted to create a cowgirl Halloween costume aesthetic using normal clothes.
I am ALLL about putting together Halloween costumes with pieces I can rewear throughout the year.
This doesn’t mean my costumes aren’t super cute either.
Not only do I make sure they turn out looking bomb, but I make sure I can wear the clothing again in a normal setting.
A few years ago I dressed up as Barbie for Halloween.
I ordered a Barbie jean jacket from Missguided and threw on some stockings and a pink suede body suit.
I gave myself a self tan with the Loving Tan tanning Mousse, wore hot pink lipstick, did up my makeup real good, and styled and straightened my long, blonde hair for the look.
This year, I wanted to dress up as a cowgirl with pieces I could rewear.
This is the inspo board I put together in Canva with the exact pieces I wanted to buy to make sure they looked good together before purchasing them.
Keep reading to see all the pieces I put together for this costume look and where I got them from.
Here’s a list of all the pieces you will need to copy this look:
A Fringe Jacket with the perfect cowgirl aesthetic
I went straight to Google and searched ‘fringe jackets’ and stumbled across this specific jacket from the online boutique The Blushing Brunette Boutique.
The Don’t Stop Believing Jacket was perfect because not only does it have distressing all over, it’s cropped and has rhinestone tassels along the back giving it that perfect western look.
White Cowgirl Aesthetic Boots
The most popular white Billini cowgirl boots, the white Billini Urson Boots were sold out everywhere or weren’t available until November. Bummer. Of course now they’re available, but weren’t available when I needed them.
So I had to settle for their second best option. These below the knee white boots, the Billini Novena Boot in off white.
They don’t look as white as the picture shows.
The title of the product says off white, which they definitely are, but I really wish they looked as white as the picture shows.
However, I still think they complete the look.
I found the boots, classic cream tank top and gold ring from Princess Polly.
A Chic Western Styled Hat + Hat Band
I wanted to find a hat that would look good with just about any outfit but still be fitting for this cowgirl aesthetic look.
I ordered the hat and the wrap hat band from Gigi Pip.
Personally, I think they have thee best looking hats out there and are super quality as well.
I am obsessed with the collab they did with Cara Loren which is why I chose one of the hats from that collection.
The wrap hat band definitely gives it that western flair.
I chose the Cara Loren Pencil Brim Hat in tan and the Cara Loren Wrap Hat Band to accessorize it.
Black Fringed Jean Shorts
I already had a pair of these black jean shorts from American Eagle.
A Classic Cream Tank Top to wear underneath your cowgirl jacket
I ordered this organic cotton classic tank top in cream from Princess Polly.
You can definitely wear any classic short or long sleeved tank top, or body suit to compliment the look.
A few pieces of jewelry to accessorize + complete the look
I ordered this ring, the Viv ring from Princess Polly.
This is the final look with all the pieces.
